The liberating washing machine

washing-machineYou could create a laundry list of things that could have contributed to the liberalization of women: gaining the right to vote, working outside the home, birth control.

According to Pope Benedict XVI, though, the washing machine has done more for the women’s liberation movement than anything else, the official Vatican newspaper Osseratore Romano, reports.
